eBatt was built by people who spent years inside the battery industry and grew tired of buying decisions made on brochures and reputation rather than evidence. This page tells that story and names some of the people and manufacturers who helped shape our early thinking. It is a company narrative — and it is kept deliberately separate from the product.

How eBatt came to exist

eBatt started with a frustration that anyone who has specified stationary battery systems will recognise. Choosing a manufacturer meant wading through marketing claims, inconsistent datasheets, and relationships that mattered more than track records. Good products were hard to tell apart from confident ones. The information needed to decide well existed, but it was scattered, unverifiable, and easy to dress up.

The founder built eBatt to replace that guesswork with something auditable: an evidence-based assessment of how manufacturers actually perform, published openly so engineers can check the reasoning rather than take it on faith. The engineering tools came first; the Atlas assessment model grew out of the same conviction that trust should be earned on evidence, not granted by association.

The manufacturers who shaped our thinking

No product like this is built in isolation. Several manufacturers were generous with their time in the early days — answering hard questions about chemistry, field performance, and what honest evidence of quality really looks like. Those conversations sharpened the model that eBatt Atlas uses today.

EverExceed holds a particular place in that story. A longstanding relationship between the founder and the EverExceed team predates eBatt itself, and their early willingness to engage candidly helped us pressure-test what a fair, evidence-first assessment should demand of a manufacturer. We acknowledge that history warmly here — and we are equally clear, on the methodology page and below, that EverExceed was assessed on exactly the same evidence basis as every other manufacturer and earned its confidence score on that basis alone.

This page does not influence the product

Everything on this page is gratitude and history, nothing more. This narrative does not influence any badge, ranking, or confidence score in eBatt Atlas. The relationships acknowledged here carry no weight in the scoring engine, earn no manufacturer any standing, and are firewalled by design from the evidence-based assessment described on our methodology page. Warm history lives here; cold, auditable scoring lives there, and the two never mix.
